Chapter 2, Section 2 - Stem-and-Leaf Plot


Stem-and-Leaf Plot: a device for presenting quantitative data in a graphical format, similar to a histogram, to assist in visualizing the shape of a distribution.

Personal Definition: a type of plot used to organize data in which the numbers on the left hand side are tenths and the numbers on the right hand side are ones. The numbers are organized in increasing order.
